Neale C. Towner Jr. passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at a local hospital. Services will be 10:00am Friday, October 29, 2021 at Waterbury Funeral Service. 4125 Orleans Avenue. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery, Cherokee, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Neale Clayton Towner Jr. was born September 28, 1953 to Neale and Gunborg “Betsy” (Nelson) Towner in Cherokee, Iowa. Neale was deeply loved by many. He met his wife Mary (Garner) in Sioux City 48 years ago where they had both of their kids. He worked at Truck Haven for 38 years and Midwest Wheel for 5 years until he retired in 2020. Neale was deeply passionate about spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had many hobbies including upgrading his trucks, loving his dogs, and providing for his family. He really enjoyed country music so much that he used to travel to Nashville every year to spend time with his brother John. He loved to go to restaurants including Applebee’s and El Tapatio where he would drink his famous pitcher of beer along with talking with all the waitresses…always giving them a hard time to make them smile and laugh. Many can say Neale was easy going, very funny and lovable guy. We will deeply miss him but he will never be forgotten.

Neale will be missed by his wife Mary; son Jimmy (Amy) Towner; daughter Toni (Adam Peterson) Towner; grandchildren Karah (RJ) Shrimpton, Paige(Jeremy) Schiltz, Derek Towner, Sean Towner, Shelby (Logan) English, Neale (Katie) Towner III, and Delane Towner; 11 great grandchildren; brothers John (Terri) Graham, Joe (Barb) Graham, Eric (Shari) Graham, and Anthony Graham; and a sister Joanne (Mike) Kyle; as well as many friends.

Neale was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Claire Towner; and a great-granddaughter Lillith Towner.
