Nancy L. Pinney, 73, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Per her wishes, Nancy will be cremated and private family burial services will be held at a later date in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Nancy was born on August 11, 1943 in Sioux City, the daughter of Donald and Velma (Boulden) Closson. She attended East High School. On December 5, 1961, she married Richard Pinney in South Sioux City. Together they made their home in Sioux City, where Nancy worked at Alfs Manufacturing and St. Vincent Hospital, as well as being a homemaker. Richard worked for Sioux Tools and Mid American Energy until his retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; three children, Eveline Ann Pinney, Douglas (Rosalie) Pinney, and Donald (Cindy) Pinney, all of Sioux City; and many grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Marlene Prichard.
