Milton W. Farney, 87 of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at a local care facility.
Per Milton’s wishes he will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
Milton Wayne Farney was born January 16, 1929 in Wayne, Nebraska. He is the son of Ray and Margaret (Weston) Farney. They later moved to Johnston, Colo., where he attended school until the 9th grade. Later Milton and his family moved back to Laurel, Neb.
He was a Mechanic for Buick Garage and the City of Sioux City. For several years Milton was on the Shrine Wrecking Crew, serving as president in 1988. He enjoyed woodworking, and fixing things around the house.
Milton is survived by his three step-sons; Bruce Roberts of Alaska, Dennis Roberts, Bill Roberts both of Sioux City , daughter Lynne Jerred of South Dakota, step daughter Julie (Jim) Cole of Sioux City, numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helyn Farney, infant brother, brother Francis, sister Iola, and a grandson Matthew.
