Milet M. Barry, age 80, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2014 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday February 16, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff with Rev. Stacey Gerhart officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Milet was born in Yankton, South Dakota on November 28, 1933, the daughter of Rhinehardt and Pauline (Walker) Frank. She attended Yankton schools and graduated with the class of 1952.

She was united in marriage with Jeremiah Barry in 1959 in Sioux City. The couple made Sioux City their home unitl Jeremiah passed away on May 22, 2002.

She worked as various capacities in retail during her lifetime. Milet enjoyed gardening. She was of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by her sons: Jeremiah Joseph Barry III of Canton, Michigan, and Kevin Patrick Barry of Des Moines, Iowa, two brothers: Ed Frank of Sioux City, and Fred Frank of Tyndall, South Dakota, eight grandchildren.

Milet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Donald.
