Mildred "Millie" E. Swanson, 97, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at her home. A Private Memorial Services for family and friends of "Millie" will be at 11:00 a.m., July 21 at Waterbury Funeral Services, 4125 Orleans Avenue in Sioux City.  Memorials may be directed to Washington Heights Chapel or Hospice of Siouxland.

She graduated from East High School, loved cooking, gardening, and hosting parties in her home.  She was a member of Christian Women’s Club, Garden Club and Washington Heights Chapel.  She was a lifelong loving mother, wife, grandmother and an unconditional friend to many who knew her.


Millie is survived by three sons, Steve (Doris), Dan (Nancy) and Tim, sister-in-law Joyce Anderson, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and to many friends who called her Aunt Millie with no family affiliation.  She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, her parents, sister Gloria and brother Eugene Anderson.
