Mildred M. “ Mim” Allan, 89, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Embassy Rehab and Care Center. Per her wishes, Mildred has been cremated and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Mildred was born on July 20, 1924 in New Port, Rhode Island, the daughter of Lawrence and Ethel (Harding) Smith. Mildred married William M. Allan on September 21, 1938 in Rhode Island. To this union, three children were born and they later divorced. Mildred worked for Allendale Insurance, retiring after 29 years. She moved to Sioux City in June of 2009.

Mildred loved going out to lunch with friends and shopping.

Survivors include her children: Larry (Barbara) Allan of Florida, Beverly Johnson of Sioux City, and Brian (Sharon) Allan of Florida, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and sister Doris.
