Michelle Renae Schnee (Plummer) finally found Peace and was reunited with her beloved two younger sisters on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, in Sioux City, Iowa. Michelle was born July 5, 1966, in Sioux City, IA to David Edward Plummer and Peggy Ann Varner Christiansen. She was raised in Sioux City graduating from East High School in 1984. Michelle and James Thomas LaCroix welcomed their first daughter, Whitney in 1986. They were married on May 9, 1990, and welcomed their son James David in 1991 and daughter Alexandrea Jo in 1994. They later divorced. Michelle married Robert Schnee in 2011, he later passed. Michelle leaves behind her partner Vincent Heath, who in recent years provided her with love and support.

Michelle loved 80’s rock and loved to air drum to all her favorite drum solos, she was hoping to attend the upcoming Def Leppard concert. She loved attending concerts, playing cards and cribbage, journaling, and writing poems for her children and grandchildren. She cherished every second she got to spend with her family.

Those who knew Michelle in her younger years were privileged, as her beauty and contagious smile were known to bring cheer to those around her. They were witnesses to the Michelle we all wish we could have enjoyed.

In her early twenties Michelle, like many others, succumbed to her mental health demons and turned to drugs and alcohol. Her addiction, unfortunately, controlled the remaining years of her adult life and contributed to the loss of many relationships. Her three children and parents always loved her, and they knew just how much she loved them. She always said her children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments. Michelle will be missed by many, and although she may not have known or believed it, she will leave a legacy through her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Whitney Condon and husband Kip Condon; James “Jimmy” LaCroix and partner Ali Miller; Alexandrea LaCroix, all of whom reside in Sioux City, mother, Peggy Ann Christianson Varner of South Sioux City, NE, her father, David Edward Plummer and his wife, Cynthia Plummer of Watkinsville, GA;  two sisters; Angela Plummer McDonald of Bellingham, MA,  Audra Beth Richards of Watkinsville, GA, four grandchildren:  Murphy Condon, Elliott Lacroix, Emmett, and Scarlet Giorgenti, four nieces, Ashley Carnes (Dillan Malloy), and her children McKenna, Charlotte Carnes, Kason and Cannon Malloy of Colorado, Kelsey Risdal (Hailie Risdal), and their children Rowan and Finley, as well as a new blessing about to make a debut, of Sioux City, and Macy Pribil of Sioux City, and by nephew Nick Spreng (Karissa Langseth) and daughter Dixie, of Sioux City, niece Ruby, and nephews, Raden and Ryker.

Michelle is preceded in death by her sisters, Aundrea Spreng and Jody Pribil, whom we imagine are all bickering at each other right now; husband, Robert Schnee.

If you yourself are struggling with addiction, know that all it takes is one day at a time, and it works if you work it, and you are SO worth it.
