Michelle M. Headid, 34 of Riverland Estates, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 from a sudden cardiac arrest at a local hospital.

Services will be held 10 am Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in St. Thomas Orthodox Church with Rev. Lucas Rice officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-7 pm at Waterbury Funeral Service. The Trisagion Service will be held at St. Thomas Orthodox Church at 8 pm Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Michelle was born on October 22, 1977 in Sioux City, the daughter of Milo and Pamela (Hodgins) Headid. Michelle attended East High and later Western Iowa Tech Community College. For the past 17 years, she has worked for Tyson Foods, currently in Exports at the Dakota Dunes office.

Michelle loved life and was happiest when with her family. Her greatest joy and greatest importance was her two year old daughter, Brooklyn. She enjoyed boating and water recreations.

Michelle was a member of St. Thomas Orthodox Church.

Michelle is survived by her fiancé Joe Schatz and daughter Brooklyn Schatz, her father Milo and Kristy Headid; her mother Pamela Hodgins; her paternal grandmother Viona Headid and maternal grandfather, Pat Hodgins; her brothers, Mike (Sandi) Headid, Richard (Jessica) Headid, Tim (Patricia) Hodgins; her sisters, Theresa (Jim) Muhe, Lori Myott, Patricia Jorgensen and Bobbi (Jeff) Kleinberg; her aunt Carol Border and her uncle Larry Hodgins; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Shirley Hodgins and paternal grandfather Mahlon Headid, and her great uncle, Roy Headid who died this August 2 ^nd .
