Michael A. Weyenberg, 48 of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at a local hospital.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 6:30 pm Thursday, August 22nd at Southern Hills Baptist Church, with Pastor Gene Stockton of Heartland Community Baptist Church officiating.
Michael Anthony Weyenberg was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on December 30, 1964. Mike relocated to the Sioux City area from Mississippi in 2004. Mike most recently worked at Vander Kooi Freight, Ltd as a truck driver.
Mike was a treasured and valued member of the Heartland Community Baptist Church family. He was a loving Christian man who, in recent months, fully dedicated his life to the Lord. He enjoyed life and fellowship with those he loved, which extended almost to everyone he met. Mike’s passion was his love for Jesus and others. He diligently shared his life experience, his heart and his hope with youth and adults who struggled. Mike had a servant's heart and was never too busy to reach out with a helping hand. He also enjoyed serving on the praise team as a sound technician.
He finished his work on earth serving Christ, leaving behind many lives changed. Mike is survived by his loving church family at Heartland Community Baptist Church.
