Michael “Mick” Garvin Jr., 71, of Bronson, IA, passed away May 6, 2025, at a local hospital.  A memorial service will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Burial will follow at Floyd Township in Bronson.

Mick was born on August 28, 1953, to Michael and Janice (Walker) Garvin.  He drove truck for Yellow Freight for several years.  Mick was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a great sense of humor.  He loved being around kids, because he was a kid at heart himself.  Mick married Clara Schon (Trobaugh) on March 4, 1994.  With their union they had a blended family of 7 children.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Clara Garvin; children: Michael Garvin III, Troy (Tara) Schon, Odessa (Jason) Vos, Michelle Michaud, Andrew Garvin, Colton Garvin, and Salena (Jess) Bequette; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Koni (Jim) Eilders, and Coleen (Wayne) Neilson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Bundy; father, Michael Garvin Sr.; stepfather, Bernie Powell; brothers: Jeffrey Powell, and Tommy Garvin; and grandparents: Wilfred and Estella Walker, and Phil and Netti Garvin.
