Michael "Mike" Robert Vander Veen

Michael “Mike” Robert Vander Veen, 41, of Sioux City, IA, passed away December 25, 2025 in Council Bluffs, IA. A visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2025 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Mike was born on November 5, 1984 in Sioux City, IA to John and Grace (Gonshorowski) Vander Veen. He graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School. Mike worked at Seaboard Foods and enjoyed his pet dogs, listening to music, and going to concerts.

He is survived by his brothers: Dan (Kimberly) Vander Veen and Bill (Carol) Vander Veen.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
