He was born February 18th, 1969 to Debbie (Kilberg) Lee and his late father, Michael F. Lee. He was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa, and attended North High where he met many of his lifelong friends. He graduated from Southeast Community College with an associate’s degree in Land Surveying.
Mike married Julie Stusse in 1992 and they had three children, who were his pride and joy. Madison, Jenna, and Michael Jacob (Jake) were his favorite topic of conversation and continue to make him proud daily. When not bragging about his kids (Go Cyclones!), he was usually found on the golf course or out with friends having a blast. He lived life to the fullest and didn’t want his passing to be a time of mourning, but rather an opportunity to have fun with those you love. Raise a glass to Mike, he’s with his dad cheering us on.
Survivors include his three children, his mom Debbie Lee, brother Mark (Gina) Lee and Aunt Susie (Shane) Rol who was more like a sister, Grandpa Bob and Cheryl Kilberg, Aunt Linda Thul, Uncle Richard (Coleen) Lee and Uncle Bob Lee. Mike is also survived by his former wife Julie Lee.
He was preceded in death by his dad Mike F. Lee, Grandma Rosie Casey, Uncle Bobby Kilberg Jr and Uncle Fat Lee.
