Merry Jewel Laufle, age 78, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at her residence.

Merry was born in Mullen, West Virginia on January 22, 1936, the daughter of Robert L. and Lavena (Perdue) Price. At an early age the family moved to Beckley, West Virginia where Merry attended and graduated from high school. Following her education, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was united in marriage with John Molyneaux on August 8, 1960 in Fort Lauderdale. She and her husband moved to Sioux City in 1971. Mr. Molyneaux preceded her in death on April 24, 1975 in Sioux City.
Merry began working at St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City following John’s death as a PBX Operator later serving as a secretary to the maintenance and engineering department. While she was working at the hospital she met Wayne Laufle and they became husband and wife on August 21, 1978 in Elk Point, South Dakota.
Merry was a loving person with all of her family, she also loved her pets and was an immaculate housekeeper.
Her life will always be remembered by her family which includes her husband Wayne of Sioux City, her daughter Sharon Mock and her husband Larry of Sioux City, her 3 grandchildren and her 3 step grandchildren and her 10 great-grandchildren.
Merry was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Molyneaux, two sisters Hazel Marie Lykins, and Gypsy Lee Price and nephew William “Billy” Lykins.
