Melissa Anne Wikstrom, 47, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Hospital in Cherokee, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Peirce Mansion in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Melissa was born January 14, 1975 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Daniel Wikstrom and Sandra Spaulding. She grew up in Sioux City graduating from East High School in 1994. She continued her education at Wayne State in Nursing. Melissa received her Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree from Briar Cliff in 2014. She worked as a Home Health Nurse for REM of Iowa, retiring in 2014 due to her health. She loved her pugs, Buddy and Minnie.

Survivors include her children, Jade Wikstom (Colton Ferguson), Jordan Wikstrom, and Daniel Wikstrom II; mother, Sandra Spaulding; and a sister, Alison Wikstrom.

She is preceded in death by her father and a sister, Amy Wikstrom.
