Maynard "May" Floyd Kilpatrick Jr.

Maynard "May" Floyd Kilpatrick Jr., 61, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2026 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

May was born on February 26, 1965 in Sioux City, IA to Maynard, Sr. and Martha (Downhour) Kilpatrick. He graduated from high school and began working as a mechanic. He worked at FIMCO, ran his own auto body shop, and worked at State Steel.

He enjoyed mowing the lawn, using his ham radio to talk to people all over the world, and collecting things. His greatest accomplishment and joy was his daughter, Maranda.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Maranda Kilpatrick; significant other, Elizabeth Rana Pistore; siblings: Michelle Willer, Tina Kilpatrick, Keith Kilpatrick, and Nancy Cleveland.

May was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Susan Sanderson.
