Matthew Robert McDonald, 46, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at a local hospital. Celebration of Life will be 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Matthew was born on August 30, 1971 in Sioux City, the son of Thomas and Shirley (Kamp) McDonald. He graduated from East High School in 1990. Matthew married Stephanie Hankins on February 14, 2003 in Dakota City.

Matthew enjoyed fishing and watching science fiction movies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, son, and brother.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie McDonald; son, Austin (Emily) Hankins and their children, Noah and Emma; son, Cody Muckey; his brother, Michael McDonald; and many extended family and friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents.
