Mary J. Trudeau, 88, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Meinen officiating. A visitation with family present will be held one hour prior to service time at Holy Spirit. Burial will be at Bluff View Cemetery in Vermillion, South Dakota following services. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Mary was born on November 19, 1927 in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Margaret Franks. She attended catholic schools in Sioux City. Mary married Philip Trudeau on June 1, 1957 in Sioux City, Philip passed away in 1990.

Mary was a surgical technician at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Mercy Medical) for 35 plus years. Mary was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She enjoyed train trips (she would never fly), going for coffee, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Paul Trudeau of Omaha and Theresa Trudeau of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Ann;son,Thomas; and grandson, Paul Jr.
