Karen spent many years volunteering her time & talents until her health prevented her from continuing. She was a wonderful mother who would do or give anything for her family. Her favorite time & memories were spent in Okoboji with her family.
It was her wish that she be able to spend her last days there & she passed away peacefully on a weekend that many of her family were there. She loved bonfires, boat rides, shopping, but most of all her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughter, Mary Gay Marshall. Son, Andy (Carolyn) Marshall. Son, Jim (Deb) Marshall, daughter Amy Vos (Mark) daughter, Allysin & special friend Tiger. 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Greg, Ben, Brianne, Alli, Lexa, Alex, Niki & Sammie & 2 great grandchildren Colton & Mia, and a sister Gayla Yanney and her husband Le Roy.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David & parents Einer & Alice Hanson. She will be greatly missed.
