Mary Jane Johnson, 46, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church. A visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to David and Carolyn Johnson. They will be using the donations to set up an education fund for Mary Jane's children.

Mary Jane was born on August 21, 1973 in Syracuse, New York, daughter of David and Carolyn (Mackey) Johnson. When she was four, the family moved to Sioux City. She graduated from West High School and received a degree in elementary education with a music minor from Buena Vista University. Mary Jane worked at Gateway, Lowe's, AmGas, and most recently, LinCare.

Survivors include her twins, MacKenna and Alexander; parents, David and Carolyn Johnson; sister, Marjorie Johnson and her children, Sydney and Isabelle; paternal grandfather, John H. Johnson; and many other family members.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Johnson.
