Mary D. Crum, 76, of Sioux City, Iowa died Sunday, May 22, 2022 at a local nursing home. Services will be 11:00 Friday, June 10, 2022 at United Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:00 at the Church.  Waterbury Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary was born May 17, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Wayne and Elaine (Anderson) Peterson. She grew up in Sioux City, graduating from Central High School in 1965. On June 11, 1966, Mary was united in marriage to Donald Crum. Together they made their home in Sioux City. Mary continued her education at Western Iowa Tech Community College and became proficient as a Secretary.

Mary was a lifelong Lutheran and was a member of United Lutheran Church and it’s Lady’s groups. She and Don were members of the Foresters Camping Group. Mary also enjoyed square dancing with Don.

Survivors include two children, Chris (Lisa) Crum of Pierson, Iowa and Cynthia (Michael) Crum-Foxhoven of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Jessica Crum-Foxhoven-Arnburg, Michael Foxhoven Jr., Nicholas Foxhoven and Cole Crum; seven great-grandchildren, Dayton, Ashton, Clayton, Braxton, Harlo, Mason and Olivia; and one brother, Doug (Barbara) Peterson of Council Bluffs.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; a great-grandchild, Jaxon; and a brother, Ronald.
