Mary C. Bruns, 73 of Sioux City, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at a local care facility.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will follow the service at Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 from 4-8pm with family present 5-7pm with prayer service at 6pm. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Mary was born on December 23, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Clare and Esther (Hansen) Dye. She graduated from Central High School. She worked at several area care facilities as a LPN.

Mary is survived by her three children, a daughter Dawn Bruns, a son Matthew Bruns and his wife Penny and their children, Jacob and Brieann, a daughter Rebecca Bruns; her sister Judy Meyer and her brothers Stephen Dye and Robert “Michael” Dye.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Amy Lynette.
