Marvin E. Johns, 68, of Sioux City, IA, passed away January 24, 2024 at a local hospital.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Marvin was born on December 2, 1955 in Sioux City, IA to Albert and Alice (Solomon) Johns.  He graduated from Hinton Community High School and went to Western Iowa Tech Community College graduating from the Auto Body program.  Marvin started working as a line foreman for Cloverleaf Storage in 1980. He worked at many different plants retiring in 2020 as a production supervisor.  He is loved dearly by his family and will be missed by many.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Jessica Johns and Jason (Valarie) McCalister; grandchildren: Tyler, Noah, Skylar, and Duran; sister, Jo Ann Carlson; and sister-in-law, Mary Johns; brother-in-law, Michael McCalister, many special nieces and nephews; ex-wife Marilyn.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James T. Johns, Kenneth L. Johns; sister, Kathleen M. Johns; brother-in-law, Richard "Dick" Carlson; and sister-in-law Rosejean Johns.
