Marvin R. Iddings, 95 of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Marvin Richard Iddings was born on March 13, 1927, near Danbury, Iowa the son of Harold and Florence (Jones) Iddings. Marvin was a WWII vet, having joined the Navy in 1944. On February 8, 1947, Marvin was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Oldewurtle.

Marvin worked as a mechanic at the Sioux City Hertz Car Rental. For a few years, he also owned and operated the Marv’s Hamilton Sinclair Service Station. Marvin enjoyed doing general mechanical work on friends and relatives' cars. He was formerly a member of both the American Legion Post 729 and VFW Post 580.

Marvin is survived by his son, Ronnie Iddings and his wife Connie, his daughters; Sandra James, Vickie Iddings and Tia Iddings, 2 grandchildren; Richard Iddings and Heather Iddings and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly in 1991, daughter, Karen Iddings, grandson Jermine James Thomas, his brother Russell Iddings and a sister, Lavern Rave.
