Martin B. O’Keefe, 63 of Sioux City, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 10:30am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Brad Pelzel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8pm Friday, January 5, 2018 with prayer service at 7pm at the Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th Street.


Martin Brian O’Keefe was born July 4, 1954 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of John and Sophie (Czerkas) O’Keefe. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1972. Martin then went on to work for Sodrac Park, and then Sioux Tools for over 10 years and John Morrell for over 25 years and up until their closing. He most recently was with the Sioux City Foundry.


Martin enjoyed being active with sports throughout his life including league pool, softball and later became an avid golfer playing in amateur regional tournaments.


Martin is survived by his sister, Marilyn Comar of Sioux City, Iowa; brothers, Dennis (& Virginia) O’Keefe of Aurora, Colorado and Patrick (& Cindy) O’Keefe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a son, Jason O’Keefe of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and 7 nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophie O’Keefe.
