Gordon Mark Ford, 60, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at a local hospital. Services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Mark was born on January 3, 1955 in Manchester, New Hampshire, the son of Donald and Patricia (Buckland) Ford. He graduated high school from Boston High, in Boston Massachusetts. Mark married his high school sweetheart, Gail Ferrini right after high school. Together they moved to Sioux City where he was a police officer. Gail and Mark divorced in 1990 and he moved to Pennsylvania where he worked in telecommunications. In 1996, he moved to Colorado, continuing to work in the telecommunications field. Finally, Mark moved back to Sioux City to stay in 2007. Mark began dating Gail Lewis in 2010.
Marks passion was flying and building remote control model airplanes, he was a member of the Sooland RC modelers club. He enjoyed the mountains and watching bears, he also like to garden and grill/smoke meats.
Survivors include his significant other Gail Lewis, son Joey (Crystal Kirkson) Ferrini, daughters Tracy Ross, and Samantha (Josh) Rush all of Sioux City, brother Thomas (Cindy) Ford of New Hampshire, sister Susan Bell of Massachusetts, grandchildren: Dalton, Kayloni, Kara, Cassie, Madisyn, Ricky, Savannah, Kayla, and Ella, and one great grandchild: Hazel. Mark also had extended family: Gail's children: Paul (Rachel Johnson) Lewis, Benjamin Lewis, Charles (Kayla) Lewis, and Jake Lewis, and grandchildren: Kaylynn and Waylon, all of Sioux City.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
