Marjorie M. Milbrodt, 96 of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, in Lincoln, surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 am Monday, May 5, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Marjorie M. Haralson Milbrodt, 96 of Lincoln, Nebraska died Friday, April 25, 2025, in Lincoln.
Marjorie was born on May 29, 1928, in Slayton, Minnesota the daughter of Parley and Alvina (Strampe) Derby. Marjorie graduated in 1945 from East High School in Sioux City. On February 9, 1947, she was united in marriage to Karl Haralson. Karl died in 1985.
Marjorie worked as church secretary at Grace United Methodist Church until retiring in the early 1990's. Marjorie enjoyed dancing and while at a Square Dance Class met George Milbrodt, a WWII POW. They were married on June 4, 1993. They traveled together around the country to attend Veteran and POW Conventions. Marjorie enjoyed attending Bible Study, volunteering at church and community soup kitchens.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Chérie (Doan) Worley and their children Jennifer (Perry) Haralson, D. Matthew (Genevieve) Worley and Jacob (Sara) Worley, her son Scott (Maritza) Haralson and their son Jean and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her second family, David (Tammie) Milbrodt, Peggy East, Cynthia (Dan) Schueler, Michelle (Doug) Marks, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Marjorie is also survived by her sister, Ila Edwards, of Sioux Falls, SD .and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Karl Haralson and George Milbrodt, and stepdaughter Carolyn Montagne, 1 brother William Derby, and 3 sisters, Dardy Franzen, Phyllis Elliott and Elaine Meyer.
