Marjorie V. Harmon, age 91, of Sioux City, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17 at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City. There will be no visitation. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences for the family may be made at www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.
Marjorie was born on October 18, 1919 in Sioux City the daughter of Alvin and Viola (Wickey) Cromwell. She attended Sioux City public schools.
She was united in marriage with William F. Harmon in 1963. He preceded Marjorie in death in 1982. Marjorie worked at Armour & Company for 13 years, she then worked as a waitress at several different restaurants in the area before beginning work at IBP, where she worked for 5 years before becoming disabled.
Marjorie loved her crocheting, her flower garden and her plants. She was very proud of the five generations of family that she was able to enjoy, and was always there for her wonderful and loving family when the need arose.
She is survived by her two sons William and Floyd both of Sioux City, her daughter Rosalind Smith of Sioux City, in addition to several grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, and three sisters.
