Marjorie E. Coon, 87 of Holly Springs, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Marjorie was born on March 4, 1937, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Reba (Hearn) Davis. She graduated in 1955 from Woodbury
Central High School in Moville. On April 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to James Coon.

During her early years, Marjorie worked a year at Woodbury Central, then two years at Security National Bank before dedicating her time to her
family while the kids were growing up. During the 1980's she worked for Burger King.

Marjorie enjoyed time with her family, reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and participating in church activities at Washington Heights Chapel.

Marjorie is survived by her husband James, two sons, Ron (Lisa) Coon and Raymond (Deborah) Coon, two grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother Gene Davis and four sisters, June Peters, Marie Harker, Carol (Robert) Rupe and Lana Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, one son Gary Coon and one great granddaughter Savannah.
