Marilyn A. Gay, 70 of Salix, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at her home.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Salix Community United Methodist Church, with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th Street.
Marilyn was born March 23, 1945 in Salix the daughter of Milton and Alice (Hanson) Gay. Marilyn attended Westwood High School. She was married to Richard Peters in Ponca Nebraska, and they lived in Salix for 42 years. Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Salix. She worked for Donnelly Marketing until she married.
Marilyn was a member of the Salix Community United Methodist Church and the Star Trek Club. Her hobbies included going on the Bank Robbery Trails of Jesse James, and was an avid Ghost Hunter, which she and Chris did in Tombstone, and in Missouri.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews; David (Sandra) Gay of California, Kenneth (Janice) Gray of Wyoming, Rodney “Chip” (Tamara) Gay of Minnesota, Wendy Gay of Texas, Cathy Saumer of Wisconsin, Kelly (Doogie) Dugan of Minnesota, Jim (Sarah) Markel of Florida, sister-in-law Chris Gay of South Dakota, several cousins, companions Bandit and Ranger.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Dennis Gay.
