Marie Evelyn Harbeck, 78, of Sioux City, passed away following a 15 year battle with lung cancer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Marie was born on December 17, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Helen and John Madnick. She attended school in Bell Gardens, CA. Marie married Richard Harbeck on April 11, 1970 in Las Vegas.  Marie was raised in California and moved to Sioux City in 1979 with her husband and four children.

Survivors include her daugthers, Helen Harbeck, Mary (Randy) Miller, Charlotte Rossow, and Diane Harbeck; grandchildren, Richard, Melissa, Marissa, Brittany, Michael, Arianne, Tyler, Joseph, Josh, and Isiah; great grandchildren, Seth, Makaeya, Xander, Malakhi, Macanda, Zayden, Ryan, Xadrian, Phoenix.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great granddaughter, Mary Rose Miller; and brother, Johnny Madnick.

Marie was loved very much by all of her children and will be greatly missed.
