Margie Lee Nicolls

Margie Lee Nicolls, 77, of Sioux City, IA, passed away September 15, 2026 at Floyd Place Senior Living following a brief illness. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Margie was born in Wakefield, NE on October 23, 1948 to Marvin and Dorothy (Webb) Miner. She graduated high school and went on to attend college. She was united in marriage to Daniel Nicolls in 1973. She was a member of the Army National Guard. Margie worked in the office for Sioux City Iron for 30+ years. Margie enjoyed gardening, flowers, boating, spending time at her cabin on the river, and watching Westerns. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Shane (Gillian) Nicolls and Jennifer Nicolls; brother James (Marleen) Miner, sister Dorothy ( Rp) Dexter ,brother and sister in law Ron (Donna) Nicolls; grandchildren, Courtney Nicolls, Brayden Quintana, Dylan (Harlee) Johnson; great grandchildren, Ayla, Braxton, Winston, Wrenlee and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Dan.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents at Floyd Place Senior Living as well as Midwest Hospice.
