Obituary

Margaret JoAnn Stodden “Jody Terry”, 80 of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at a local hospital.

A visitation will be held 5-8 pm Monday, May 4, 2015 with a prayer service at 7pm at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th Street. Burial will be at the Onawa Cemetery in Onawa at a later date.

Margaret JoAnn Ferguson was born November 4, 1934 in Hamburg, Iowa daughter of Charles and Mary Ferguson. She grew up in the Riverton, Iowa farming community, graduating from Riverton High School in 1952. She attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Council Bluff, Ia, graduating as a registered nurse in 1955. She worked 35 years in nursing field, enjoying the many different areas.

She married Dwight E. Terry April 25, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada made their home in Phoenix, Arizona raising their two children Frank E. Terry and Cynthia L. Terry. They moved to Loveland, Colorado and 5years later retired to Onawa, IA. Her husband Dwight was killed in truck accident in May of 1974 in Ohio. Margaret then married LaVern Stodden in February 1980 and then they resided in Sioux City, Iowa. She then owned and operated JoAnn’s Resale consignment shop with her husband LaVern for 14years.

Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband to places like Hawaii, Cancun, Alcan Florida, Key West, California, Nevada, and the Southern States. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved dancing and boating.

Margaret is survived by one son Frank his wife Lisa Terry; grandson’s Jason and his wife Katie; children Courtney, Connor, Caleb; Miah, and his wife Lena, their children Emily, Libby, Naomi; Luke and his wife Whitney their daughter Raine; Zachary his wife Jamie their son Jace; granddaughter Jennifer Harper; brother-in-law Larry Terry his wife Judy and family

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Dwight and LaVern, and one daughter Cynthia Harper.
