Margaret F. Mothershead, 94, passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018 at her home. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following services.

Margaret was born February 6, 1924 in Sioux City, the daughter of Arthur and Zoe (Hasley) Heggety. She married William Black  in 1943 and together they had two children, Harry and William "Ike". Margaret later married Herbert Mothershead in 1960 and together they had eight children,  William, Joseph, Tina, Mary Lou, Alice, David, Lloyd, and James.

Margaret was a gentle woman and enjoyed helping people in need. She loved to have family gatherings, sit in the sun, and LOVED her purses! She had so many purses she could have opened up her own store. Margaret enjoyed having a special treat of movie popcorn and a Dairy Queen strawberry shake.

Margaret is survived by eight children, Harry, William, Tina, Mary Lou, Alice, David (Lynne), Lloyd, and James (Gina); 35 grandchildren and over 70 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by them all!

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; sons, William ("Ike") Black and Joseph Mothershead; and grandson, James Jay Mothershead.
