Margaret E. Johnson, 81, of Sioux City, IA, passed away June 5, 2024 at a hospital in Omaha, NE.  A funeral service will be held Friday, June 14th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Margaret was born on March 1, 1943 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to George and Edna (Homer) Stephens. She graduated from high school in Auburn, Nebraska.  Margaret was united in marriage to Dallas Wayne Johnson on November 4, 1961.

At the age of 61 Margaret achieved her dream and earned her LPN degree from Western Iowa Tech.  She worked as a nurse until the age of 73, and then retired at the age of 80 from Walmart, where she enjoyed meeting people at the checkout.  Margaret was a great seamstress and an incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: James Dallas Johnson, Dale Eugene (Michelle Rasmussen) Johnson, Elizabeth Ruth (Mike) Etmund; sister, Florence Coolidge; brother, Joe Stephens; grandchildren: Danial (Cindy) Flink, Ashley (Kevin Knowles) Flink and Melody (Gary) Flink, Candace (Nate Dougall) Johnson, Adrian (Alice Sweat) Johnson, Kelly (Andy) Rondon, and Jerry Bailey and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers: Daniel, Harold and James Stephens.
