Marcus L. John, 43 of Brandon, South Dakota passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Friday, October 2, 2026 at the St. Paul’s Indian Mission. Burial will be in Hobu Creek Cemetery. Wake service will begin 7:00pm Tuesday, September 29, 2026 and will continue until service time on Friday at the St. Paul's Indian Mission.

Marcus Lloyd John was born on February 6, 1983 in Sioux City, the son of Gary Redowl and Juanita Frazier. Marcus attended the Sioux City public schools.

Over the years Marcus worked various places in the tri-state area. He enjoyed his “nice toys”, listening to music and riding motorcycles. Marcus will be remembered by his family and his Iowa, Nebraska & South Dakota Recovery family.

Marcus is survived by his Juanita John, his mother who raised him, Caroline Rhouillard, sisters Linete Kennedy, Denise Semple and Sharon Nieman, his brothers, Garrett John, Anthony Redowl, Brian Stabb, Gary Starr, Gregory Henry, Jeff Henry and Dennis Henry.

He was preceded in death by his father, brothers; Elden Matsushige and Keny Stabb and his sisters; Jenn Albertson, Tonia John and Rosetta Frazier.
