Madonna R. Semple, 86, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at a local hospital. Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery.
Madonna was born on January 22, 1931 in Elk Point, South Dakota, to Glen and Luella (Hoffman) Edwards. Madonna was united in marriage to Norman Semple on May 17, 1947 in LaVern, MN. Norman passed away on November 30, 2014.
Madonna was a wonderful, loving, mother. She enjoyed camping in Yankton, South Dakota and vacationing in the Black Hills. Spending time with family was the most important part of her life.
Survivors include her five children: Mike (Denise) Semple of Sioux City, Richard (Josie) Semple of McCook Lake, Jody Cameron of Sioux City, Scott (Kay) Semple of Lawton, and Mark (Tina Rowe) Semple of Sioux City; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Randy (Sue) Edwards and John (Jolean) Edwards; sisters, Patty (Slim) Bietema, Diana Miller, and Rosella (Gary) Mannion.
Madonna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Kirk; brothers, Glen and Dewayne; and sisters, Lorraine Frazee and Joyce McPeek.
