Lynda Mae Drappeaux, 76, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on October 27, 2024 at Embassy Rehab and Care Center.  A visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11-4:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 1:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Lynda was born on June 27, 1948 in Wagner, South Dakota to Irving Sr. and Alice (Chamberlain) Drapeau.  She graduated high school and attended college.  She loved her family and spending time with them.  She was a great story teller and liked to joke and laugh.  She enjoyed shopping, fancy clothes, watching movies (Pretty Woman and What’s Love Got to do With It, being her favorites), doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and going to the casino.

Those left to honor her memory include her granddaughter, Michellè Axdahl; siblings: Mark, Keith, Pierre, Lisa, Cindy St. Pierre; several nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend Geraldine Valdez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Veronica Heth, Emma, Yvonne, Sylvester, Mary, Cecilia; and many more relatives; son, Duane Axdahl; and daughter, Nickole Butler.
