Lynda L. Blachnik, 64 of Sioux City, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Lynda was born on January 12, 1954 in Sioux City, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Conley) Guy. She attended Riverside High School and later received her GED.

Lynda was married to Frank Blachnik on November 13, 1986 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

Lynda worked at several places in Sioux City, including as a librarian at WITCC until 2009. She was a caregiver to her family and enjoyed being the chauffeur for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Shelly (Roberto) Hernandez Jacome, Leila Griffin, Darrin Blachnik, Lexie Blachnik, Casi Blachnik, and Ira (Angie) Lopez, all of Sioux City; grandchildren, Roberto, Shyla, Tayecyn, Anthony, Terence Jr., Santana, Roelise, Blake, Jordyn, Darrin Jr., Lathyn, and Raydyn, Raylei, Raven, Jr. and Nayeli, her brother, Rick (Deanna) Guy, sister in-laws Colleen Guy and Bonita Guy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, an infant daughter Lynda M. and brothers Carl Guy, Jr, and Ronnie Guy.
