Lucia “Tana” Ellen March, 88 of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Casa de Paz Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following services.

Tana was born on June 9, 1928 in Sioux City, the daughter of Alfred and Julia (Zamberlan) Carlberg. She graduated from Leeds High School in 1947. Tana married Raymond Claussen in 1947 and he passed away in 1950. She married Mervin G. “Buzz” March in 1954 and he later passed away in 1993.

Tana worked at Johnson Biscuit Company from 1947 to 1960. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing various brain teasers, and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include her sons, Mervin G. March, Jr. and Gary L. March and his wife Tami; daughter, Julie A. Etchison and her husband Bob; brother, Leo Carlberg and his wife Mardee; sisters, Anna Carlberg and Mary Davis and her husband Ted; nine grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren.

Tana was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters, one brother, and one great grandson.
