LuAnne Edison Bowman, 81 of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 10am Friday, February 5 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sgt. Bluff for family members only. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

LuAnne Edison "Lou" Bowman was born October 26, 1939 to Gladys and Walter Rohbraugh. She was a resident of Beresford, South Dakota and attended Mount Marty High School in Yankton, South Dakota.  She later relocated to Sioux City, IA. where she worked as a waitress for a number of years before she met Francis H. Bowman. On February 15 1958 she married Francis Harrison Bowman; they celebrated over 50 years together.

LuAnne was employed at Sioux City Shopko and Hy-Vee Food Store. She was a successful business owner and ran a ceramics shop for many years. Along with ceramics she had a passion for sewing and crafts.  She loved to travel and listen to classic music. She was a vivid amateur photographer and enjoyed sharing pictures with family and friends. Lou had a real craving for her sweets; raspberry filled donuts and lemon meringue pie. She loved her Perkins meatloaf, Bon Appetite. She was a very loving, caring and supportive person who would go out of her way to make everyone feel welcomed.

She is survived by her five sons and one daughter, Steve of Omaha, NE, Ray and his wife Kay of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, John and his wife Shelley of Lady Lake, Florida,  Lee and Jacqueline of Sioux City, IA,  Gene and his wife Molly of Des Moines, IA,  five grandchildren; Wesley, Brittany, Tina, Coressa and Amillia, 6 great grandchildren; Mattie, Cashius, Waverly, Sage, Hadley and Larry, brother-in-law, Roger and his wife Vicki of Sioux City, IA., brother, Jeff Carroll and his wife LuAnne of Carver, Minn., sister- in- law, Florence Tapley of Sioux City, IA.

LuAnne was preceded in death by her husband; Francis Harrison Bowman, her parents, Gladys and Walter Rohbraugh, two grandsons; Ryan Bowman and Chris Bowman and her mother-in–law, Pearl Bowman.
