Linda M. Hansen, 61, of Sioux City, IA passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 after battling brain cancer diagnosed in March 2016.

Services will be held 11 am Tuesday, September 27 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will start one hour before service time.

Linda was born January 31, 1955 in Sioux City, IA, to Donald “Jack” Jacobson and Pauline (Blangy) Jacobson. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1973. She married Jeffrey L. Hansen on October 11, 1974 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, IA. They had 2 daughters, Sarah and Krissy. They later divorced.

Linda loved outdoors; especially sun tanning and gardening. She enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles, playing board/card games, spoiling her granddaughters with sweets, talking on the phone, and visiting with her friends and family. She will always be remembered as an amazing mother, sibling and friend.

Survivors include her two daughters: Sarah Ofstehage (Dan) of Mobridge, SD and Krissy Hansen of North Sioux City, SD.; three sisters: Barb Wingert, Kate Rohde (Brad), Mary Taylor; three step-sisters: Carolyn Tague, Kimberly Johnson, and Teresa Stevens; two brothers: Steve Jacobson (Jeanne) and Dave Jacobson (Diann); many nieces and nephews, and three granddaughters: Taylor Trimble, Emma Ofstehage, and Chloe Ofstehage.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Jack; stepmom, Pat Jacobson; brother, Joseph Jacobson; sister, Jean Jacobson; and nephew, Mark Kempers.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Rachel and all of the staff at Hospice of Siouxland, as well as all of the staff at Accura nursing home in Sioux City.
