Lesa Kathleen Thompson, 66, of Sioux City, IA, passed away May 28, 2025, at University of Nebraska Medical Center.  Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Lesa was born on September 4, 1958, in Kansas City, MO to Ronald and Laura (Tomison) Schroll.  She was united in marriage to Terry Thompson on January 27, 1987, in Sioux City.  Lesa was a wonderful wife and mother.  She stayed home and raised her daughters when they were young.  She loved to write poetry and used the pen name “Belle Poe.”  She was very talented and had several poems published.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Terry Thompson; daughters: Cherie Slotten, Heather Bauer, and Tammy Henry; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
