Leopoldo "Leo" Bosquez, 74 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Services will be held 11:00am Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Leopoldo “Leo” Bosquez was born on September 12, 1948 in Laredo, Texas and lived in Laredo until moving to Hobbs, New Mexico. He worked driving oil truck for many years. Then he moved to Sioux City, Iowa in February 1990 where he began working at the IBP, now known as Tyson, until 2007 when he retired.
Leo met Linda Hall at Tyson in June 1992 and they became best friends, then they got married in September 15, 1997, and have been still together all this time. He was previously married before to Julia Bosquez, whom he had three children with her, but they later divorced. Leo had two children with Linda.
Leo’s children are Sarah Amaya Cruz and ReAnn Denney, Paul Bosquez, Jr., Sandra Bosquez and Javier Bosquez, all of Sioux City, South Sioux City and Hobbs, New Mexico. Leo’s stepdaughter is Amy Cable. He has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Leo enjoyed going fishing and going to the casino, but especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Leo is survived by Linda Bosquez, his children Sarah, ReAnn, Paul, Sandra and Javier and a stepdaughter Amy, siblings Mary, Lupe, Yolanda, Letty, Candy and two brothers, Julian and Alberto.
He was preceded by his parents Julian and Margorita Bosquez, his brother Juan and his sister Maria, his grandmother, his brother-in law Thomas Mendez and a niece, Elsa Mendez.
