Leona M. Wilshire, 97 of Sioux City, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center, where she had lived for the last 2 and a half years.

Services 9 am Monday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff with Rev. Martha Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Leona was born on June 28, 1913 in Madison, South Dakota, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Archer) Sorenson. Leona was married to Clifford Derochie and later married J.B. Wilshire.

Leona spent most of her life in Sioux City and had later moved to Denver, Colorado until moving back to Iowa.

Leona spent her time making beautiful crafts, playing bingo and she did like to gamble.

Leona is survived by her sons, Ralph Derochie and his wife Ella and Dennis Derochie and his wife Ardyce; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her son Gerald Derochie and daughters Donna Jean Estergard and Dalyce Derochie.
