Leona J. Olson, 82 of Sioux City, Iowa passed into eternal rest Friday, June 9, 2023 at a local care facility. Open visitation to celebrate Leona life will be held from 2-4pm Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.  Leona will be laid to rest in Logan Park Cemetery at a later date.

Leona was born February 15, 1941 on the Waterbury Family Farm to Albert and Ione (Horn) Adams. She attended Waterbury District Schools though graduation, Leona also graduated from Edwards Business School in Sioux City. On December 15, 1962 Leona married John R. Olson and to this union two sons were born.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard (Jan) Olson, and Robert “Bob” (Wendy) Olson, grandchildren, Robert “Robbie”, Jr., Cassidy Olson, Alex (April) Quinlain, Jill (Elvin) Rasmussen, Michael (Melissa) McClain, great grandchildren, Keegan Rasmussen, Braxton Rasmussen, Autumn McClain, Austin McClain, Brayden McClain, Brody McClain, Link Quinlain, sisters; Lois Adams, Margie Stark, Barbara (Dale) Strivens, brother, Roger (Shirley) Adams.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Olson in 2009, and other siblings.
