Leola Darlene Larson, 98 of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa passed away Monday, August 18, 2025. Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Salix Methodist Church with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Sloan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am until service time at the church.

Darlene was born on June 13, 1927, in Salix, Iowa the daughter of Ludvi and Iva (Sanderson) Madsen. She graduated from Salix High School in 1945.  Darlene was married to Harold "Bud" Larson.

Darlene had various jobs over the years, working from home and later some area businesses. Darlene enjoyed playing board games at home and her and Bud went on many of the Pioneer Bank Bus trips over the years. She was a member of the Salix United Methodist Church.

Darlene is survived by her sons: Randall Larson, Richard (Shirley) Larson, daughter Kristi (Al) Willis, grandchildren: Lance Larson, Shannon (Josh) Larson, Dani (Tom) Trammell, Ryan (Lisa) Willis, Meloine (Dusty) Belden and Lisa (Josh) Smith, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold "Bud" Larson, two brothers: Louis Madsen, Ernest Madsen, one sister, Beula Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Larson.
