Leo W. Kinnaman, 77 of Sioux City, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at a local hospital.
Services 11 am Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Morningside Assembly of God with Rev. Johnny Helton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 pm Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service.
Leo was born on August 26, 1934 in Hornick, Iowa, the son of Scott and Sylvia (Ryan) Kinnaman. He attended Hornick schools. On September 10, 1955 Leo was united in marriage to Charlene Krause. She died in 1984.
Leo worked at most of the packing houses in the Sioux City area, and retired from IBP in 1996. Leo was an avid fisherman and camper. Leo also spent much time as a Boy Scout leader. Leo’s house was filled with many aquariums, which held many types of fishes.
Leo is survived by his daughter, KimMarie Ritchie of Sioux City, three sons, Scotty Kinnaman of Sioux City, Dean Kinnaman and his significant other, Wenona of Estherville, Iowa and David of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leland Kinnaman of Sioux City; and one sister, Ilene Mareau of Sloan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlene and one brother, Bud Kinnaman.
