Laurie Ann Laughlin, 80, of Bronson, IA passed away November 13, 2024 at a local hospital.  Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Laurie was born on September 10, 1944 in Maumee, Ohio to William and Laura (Metzger) Huber.  She graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in Ohio.  Laurie worked as an insurance agent for Mills Insurance for many years.  She was united in marriage to Michael Laughlin on June 6, 1991 in Bronson, Iowa.  Together they made their home in Bronson.  Laurie will be missed by her community, where she touched a lot of lives.  She enjoyed gardening and her flowers.  Laurie’s love language was food, she loved to cook and was nicknamed the “Food Pusher”, often asking people if they had eaten. She loved big and it showed.  Her great laugh and smile will never be forgotten.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Mike Laughlin; children: Eric (Laurie) Oberhaus, Amy (Randy) Thomas, Jim (Julie) Laughlin, and Michael (Julie) Laughlin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers: Joe (Kay) Huber and Jerry (Pat) Huber.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.
