Laura Kay Wilcox, 59, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on September 21, 2024, at a local hospital.  A visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m., with a light meal following.  For additional parking please use the library parking lot.

Laura was born on June 19, 1965, in North Platte, NE, to Elmer and Nancy (Christiansen) Hodge.  She graduated from East High School in 1984.  Laura was united in marriage to Ron Wilcox on May 30, 1987, in Sioux City.  Laura worked as a lunch lady at Joy Elementary and later Spaulding Elementary and will be missed by many.  She collected angels and unicorns, and she loved the Minnesota Vikings, cooking, gardening, swimming, going to concerts, her dogs, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ron Wilcox; children: Amber and Adam Wilcox; grandchildren: Jackson and Arizona; sister, Pamela Hodge; brother, Trevor Hodge; and mother-in-law, Sharon Wilcox.

She is preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Richard Wilcox; and nephew, Kevin Vermeer.
