Laura L. Rezin, 71 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at a local care facility, surrounded by her family. Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Glendale Baptist Church. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery.  Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy and the American Legion Post 662. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Laura was born March 26, 1951, in Sioux City. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1969. Laura joined the Navy and served in Chicago until her honorable discharge. She then continued her education at Western Iowa Tech where she received a degree in Police Science. Over the years, Laura worked as a Health Inspector for the City of Sioux City and later at the United States Post Office for almost 30 years, retiring in 2009.

She was a member of the NRA and was a Civil War Buff. Laura loved attending Civil War reenactments, seeing the battlefields and other historical locations.

Survivors include three siblings, John (Patty) Rezin of Rapid City, South Dakota, Bruce (Pam) Rezin of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ruth Reilly of Sioux City, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Brian in infancy.
